Reflex™ Fabric
Developed originally in 1988 by Macpac in conjunction with Macpac's development laboratories, Reflex™ was designed to meet the demands of the New Zealand outdoor enthusiast venturing into our very wet and rugged environment. The last few years have seen major developments in this unique to Macpac, tried and tested waterproof and breathable fabric technology. Changes to the bonding agents and the hydrophilic membrane have resulted in significant improvements in durability and performance to this already high performing fabric technology. The core attributes still remain, with the proven performance of the Reflex™ ultra-thin and flexible hydrophilic membrane that repels rain and wind, and disperses body vapour build-up via molecular pathways within the membrane. The total weatherproofness, breathability and high level of durability offered by Reflex™ give reliable protection in extreme conditions and when far from a base.
Reflex™ Taslan Fabric
This fabric is Macpac's answer for those who require highly durable, waterproof and breathable protection when pack-hauling. The Taslan face fabric provides a high degree of abrasion resistance, while the proven Reflex™ technology keeps you dry. Garments made from Reflex™ Taslan are perfect for trekking and adventure travel, where you require reliable protection.
Reflex™ 2.5 Fabric
This is a unique lightweight, waterproof/breathable fabric that Macpac has developed in conjunction with their development laboratories. This fabric has been designed to give maximum rain and wind protection with minimum weight and bulk. Reflex™ 2.5 fabric is perfect for short duration, high-energy activities where conservation of weight and bulk are primary concerns.

Cross-Terrain® Fabric
Cross-Terrain® offers all-round performance for virtually any outdoor activity. Macpac's popular Cross–Terrain® range has been completely expanded, contemporary and functional designs with faultless attention to detail. Cross-Terrain® Features:

Polartec® Thermal Pro® Fabric
Polartec® Thermal Pro® fabric is the most visually dynamic and technically advanced of the Polartec® insulation fabrics. The polyester velour creates air pockets that trap air and retain body heat, providing outstanding warmth without weight. This fabric also offers excellent breathability and dries quickly.
Polartec® Power Shield® Fabric
Polartec® Power Shield® fabric features a smooth, tightly woven nylon face for abrasion resistance equal or superior to the best shells without the stiffness or noise. Power Shield® also has a polyester velour back that traps air and provides a high warmth-to-weight ratio.
Patent pending Air Control Technology® (ACT) enables the fabric to block 98% of the wind. The remaining 2% is allowed to circulate within the fabric, which greatly enhances moisture vapour transmission – 2 times faster than standard waterproof breathable shells – and improves breathability, reducing the risk of heat-stress build-up. Power Shield® fabric is constructed with durable water repellency to shed light rain and snow. Spandex fibres allow 4-way stretch for unrestricted freedom of movement. Garments made from Power Shield® fabric are designed to replace traditional fleece and PTFE shell systems for most outdoor clothing applications, reducing the weight and number of layers needed to insulate and protect.
Polartec® Power Dry® Fabric
Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics are highly breathable and designed to keep your skin dry when you sweat. The fabric is a knit construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric creating two different surfaces: one that is optimised to move moisture away from the skin, the other to dry quickly. Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics are soft next to your skin providing all-day comfort for any activity.
Pontetorto® Tecnopile® Fabric
This fabric gives you the greatest comfort for the lightest weight. In the manufacturing of their microfibres, Pontetorto® use yarns with more than 250 filaments in a space of half a millimetre. Packed tightly, these incredibly soft filaments give a gentle drape and feel.
