Why we made this
Our favourite all-rounder, the women's specific Overland Sleeping Bag features a lightweight Pertex® Quantum shell and HyperDRY™ water-resistant down fill for warmth in cool, potentially damp conditions.
  • Product Description
Designed for comfort when you're on overnight hikes during the warmer months, the Overland 400 provides a combination of warmth, weather resistance and a compact size. Constructed with a lightweight Pertex® Quantum outer shell and filled with premium 650 loft HyperDRY™ water-resistant duck down, the Overland performs well in cool, potentially damp, conditions. With a tapered semi-rectangular shape and horizontal baffles, the down is securely and evenly distributed throughout the sleeping bag. Like all of our products, this sleeping bag is filled with down certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) — an independent, voluntary global standard in the ethical sourcing of down and feathers — so you can feel good about feeling warm. Designed specifically for women, this sleeping bag has a more feminine shape with increased room at the hips and a slightly narrower shoulder. Featuring the same fill weight (or quantity) of down as our regular Overland 400 sleeping bag, the women’s specific version is marginally shorter in length. This provides a greater concentration of down for improved core insulation.

Good first impressions
I haven't been on an adventure with my sleeping bag yet but being the keen outdoorist I am I have thoroughly inspected it. I was looking into other bags online with a similar temperature rating but when I saw this bag on sale I thought I'd give it a shot. The bag puffs up straight away creating lots of loft. There are 2 draw strings around the head region (one around the shoulders and one around the face) which stopped warm air from flowing out of the bag and cold air flowing in very effectively. The baffle over the zip makes the bag very seamless and cozy inside. I was quite surprised at how compact this bag is when I compared it to my Kathmandu summer down sleeping bag. The stuff sack itself has a dry sack outer and another drawstring opening on the inside which I found quite cool. The sleeping bag also came with a larger storage stuff sack which seems to do its job. Overall the women's Overland Down 400 sleeping bag has made a great first impression on me and I have confidence that it will keep me warm and comfy for years to come.

Hi there what is the zipper like on both women's overland 400 down and women's xp500. Are they able to unzip completely open eg the feet open too? And is there two zips one to open just feet ? Thankyou
Alice D on May 4, 2020

The overland 400 does not open all of the way so you would not be able to free your feet.

However the Latitude xp500 does have the option to open all of the way up and to just open the bottom for your feet should you choose.

Kind Regards,
The Macpac Team!
The product specs say this women's bag is shorter than the regular version, was wondering what the length of this sleeping bag is when open?

BEST ANSWER: Hello M A. All sizes of our sleeping bags can be found here - we hope this helps. The Macpac Team.
what is the size of this sleeping bag when packed up?
Kellie I on May 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The sleeping bag comes with a stuff bag that is a genuine ‘dry bag’. It has a draw string top to constrain the sleeping bag and a second top that is a typical fold-down dry bag top. Really good! When stuffed, the bag is 19cm in diameter and 34cm long.
Can you zip this sleeping bag up with the standard mens version?

Yes you can, however legs compartments going to be separated and a height variance should accrue as well.

Hi, I was wondering how compact this sleeping bag is when packed up? What are the dimensions when packed up and what is the weight? Thanks
