Macpac Overland Down 400 Sleeping Bag - Women's
Why we made this
The Overland delivers all weather performance with a lightweight Pertex® Quantum shell and HyperDRY™ water-resistant down fill.
Designed for comfort when you're on overnight hikes during the warmer months, the Overland 400 for women provides a combination of weather resistance, warmth and a compact size. Constructed with Pertex® Quantum outer fabric and filled with premium 650 loft HyperDRY™ water-resistant duck down, the Overland performs well in varied conditions. With a tapered semi-rectangular silhouette and horizontal baffles, the down is securely and evenly distributed throughout the sleeping bag. Designed specifically for women, this sleeping bag has a more feminine shape with increased room at the hips and a slightly narrower shoulder. Featuring the same fill weight (or quantity) of down as our regular Overland 400 sleeping bag, the women’s specific version is marginally shorter in length. This provides a greater concentration of down for improved core insulation.

Good first impressions
I haven't been on an adventure with my sleeping bag yet but being the keen outdoorist I am I have thoroughly inspected it. I was looking into other bags online with a similar temperature rating but when I saw this bag on sale I thought I'd give it a shot. The bag puffs up straight away creating lots of loft. There are 2 draw strings around the head region (one around the shoulders and one around the face) which stopped warm air from flowing out of the bag and cold air flowing in very effectively. The baffle over the zip makes the bag very seamless and cozy inside. I was quite surprised at how compact this bag is when I compared it to my Kathmandu summer down sleeping bag. The stuff sack itself has a dry sack outer and another drawstring opening on the inside which I found quite cool. The sleeping bag also came with a larger storage stuff sack which seems to do its job. Overall the women's Overland Down 400 sleeping bag has made a great first impression on me and I have confidence that it will keep me warm and comfy for years to come.

what is the size of this sleeping bag when packed up?
BEST ANSWER: The sleeping bag comes with a stuff bag that is a genuine ‘dry bag’. It has a draw string top to constrain the sleeping bag and a second top that is a typical fold-down dry bag top. Really good! When stuffed, the bag is 19cm in diameter and 34cm long.
Hi, I was wondering how compact this sleeping bag is when packed up? What are the dimensions when packed up and what is the weight? Thanks
