Wanderer Gibson Instant 10P Tent

The Tent is great. Really roomy inside. It’s warm also which surprised me. So easy to set up with just me and my husband doing it in about 10 mins. I didn’t give it 5 star because there is a little hole on the inside room divider and there was also a problem with the pole but we fixed it.

Bought this tent last minute on the way to our camping destination as there was a problem with a delivery with another tent, anyway I purchased this tent and the whole thing was wrong, the poles would not extend, parts were put on the wrong way so it was impossible to put up, got stuck sleeping in my car, ruined my whole trip. Took it back and they tried to put the tent up out the back of the shop and even they were dumbfounded with the fault. Put me off buying wanderer now. Bought a Kmart Instant tent instead for the way home and it was fantastic, save your money on this one

Was dubious as some sites mention Wanderer being cheap but this held up very well on a 3 day trip to Ocean Road. Sturdier than the Gibson, very spacious and the awning works well - very easy to put up and take down. Only gripe is that the outer sheet needs to be stretched very tight in order to pin down on all 4 corners - as it wasn't chucking it down with rain we just loosely pinned it down with the guy ropes in some areas, but in torrential downpour and heavy winds this would be an issue.

only took 10 minutes to assemble. Love the tent. A little annoyed the front canapy (that lifts out) is also the main tent wall - which means you have to set it up and down each day / night. Otherwise fantastic.

Purchased this tent for our first ever camping trip with friends this Easter Weekend. I did a test run at home a few weeks earlier to work out how it went up, took about 10-15min to do this, and around 15min to pack it back down. Well Good Friday, hit our destination and what can I say, absolutely brilliant. Threw down a 3 x 5mtr camp mat and my daughter and I had the tent up in about 5-8mins ready for hubby to peg and throw the outer fly over. We made sure to open up all the window coverings through the day to keep any heat out, letting the air flow through, and closed it all up before dark to keep the cold out. Have read some people don’t like the bright orange colour come morning, but I didn’t have any issue. We slept in one room and stored clothes and pantry item in the other. It rained one night and a little wind, but I went back off to sleep as quick as it had woken me. Thoroughly over the moon with the choice, as was hubby considering I did all the purchasing.
