Why we made this
Designed for intense mountain pursuits where weight and breathability are key, The Hightail Pertex® Rain Pants protect you from the weather while still allowing you to move fast comfortably.
Extremely lightweight, windproof and waterproof, the Hightail Pertex® Rain Pants are part of our Alpine Series. Designed and tested in partnership with the New Zealand Alpine Team, the Hightail has ventured up remote and challenging alpine routes with these elite climbers, helping to keep them protected from the elements, whilst being light to carry and comfortable to wear. Pertex® Shield fabric is fully seam sealed and provides lightweight waterproof protection whilst remaining highly breathable. The elasticated waistband and leg zips make them easy to pull on over your boots, while the articulated patterning around the knee enables a full range of motion for tricky climbing moves or simply stretching your legs on the trail. Please note, due to the lightweight nature of this fabric, these pants are not designed for high abrasion use.

Super light yet waterproof pants
Fantastic pants for any light and fast adventure, perfect for mandatory gear requirements in most trail races but definitely comfortable to run in when the weather really comes down. At 140g you barely notice it, whether in your pack or on your legs, but it goes without saying that the light material won't survive long if hiking through rough terrain or bushbashing

These are fantastic rain pants: comfortable, lightweight, easy to move in, not loud when you move, and you stay DRY. Would give them more than 5 stars. Not cheap, but worth every penny to be warm and comfortable in inclimate conditions. Both my husband and I have owned a pair - going on 3 years now. We both swoon. Still. Highly recommend!
