A few weeks ago, I bought Glacier softshell pants. Are these the same? The Glacier ones are disappointing compared to the Glacier pants I bought from the former Mac pack store. The new ones seem thinner and colder, and they have an elastic drawcord instead instead of a lower leg zip, compared to the older ones. Also the fitting seems a bit looser even though I bought the same size.

BEST ANSWER: Hello Keith, In the 12 years I have been here I haven't seen a pair of pants called Glacier pants sorry. The Fitzroy pants are our warmest most technical softshell pant option. Nemesis would need layering with. I recommend the prothermals for layering. Thanks Jeremy @ Macpac
I used to have a pair of Macpac polartec windproof pants 10 years ago. They were awesome for trekking and I took them to cold places like the mountains in Peru and Patagonia. I cannot remember the name, but which model would recommend these days? - it does not need to be waterproof. Thank you.
