Why we made this
Engineered to meet the demands of weight and durability in competitive multi-sport, the Transition Jacket is lightweight, breathable and highly packable.
  • Product Description
In competitive multi-sport, we know how a good rain jacket can make all the difference when the weather turns sour. That's why we engineered the Transition Jacket to meet the demands of weight and durability in competition — making it the ideal jacket for highly active runners, cyclists and adventure racers. To minimise weight and maximise performance, we used careful body mapping to determine specific fabric performance requirements. We've used two types of fabric: Pertex® Shield Pro because it's waterproof, breathable and durable in high wear ares such as on the chest, cuffs and shoulders — while in places where you sweat the most, we've used super light, waterproof Pertex® Shield fabric for amazing breathability. Fully seam sealed with a roll-away hood, this jacket meets the mandatory gear requirements of competitive multi-sport. Packing into its own internal mesh pocket, this jacket is easy to stuff into your hydration vest for on-the-go protection. Designed with a slim, streamlined fit, this rain jacket is suitable for wearing over light, highly breathable layers. Please note: the Transition Jacket is not designed for use with a heavy pack. If you need a rain jacket for hiking, we suggest you consider the Resolution, Copland or Traverse jackets.

  • Care
To get the best performance out of your waterproof garment frequent washing and drying is recommended
Before washing ensure all zippers and closures are secure
Warm machine wash on gentle cycle using pure soap or Nikwax Tech Wash®
Do not bleach or use fabric softeners
Cool tumble dry. This is very important to rejuvenate the DWR finish
    Do not dry clean
Apply a DWR restorer, such as Nikwax TX. Direct® to help prolong the life of your garment
A frequently washed garment is a well performing one

A jacket like no other
Absolutely love this rain jacket. Is very breathable and so lightweight. Packs down to nothing and when wearing does exclactly what it's meant to do, keep you dry! Doesn't feel bulky or heavy when wearing it and is very comfortable. Perfect for bikepacking or cycling. Would highly recommend.

The product info says not to be used with a heavy pack. Approximately what weight in kgs is considered heavy? Over 10kg?

BEST ANSWER: Hello Andrew,

A daypack should be fine. We don't recommend using this for 35/40+L backpacks.

Kind regards,
