Excellent for keeping legs protected
I love these pants for their ruggedness. I've taken them for a few off track missions through thick bush and occasionally gorse, and they (and my legs) always come out well. The reinforced seat and knees are perfect for sitting and kneeling just about anywhere, as well as sliding down banks without any worry about ripping. I've found the breathability to be pretty good and had no issues in the rain. I just wish they had a pocket or two to keep pen and pad or other small items handy. When wearing a raincoat with pockets it's not an issue for me, but sometimes I'm wearing the pants and a shirt only when it's not raining.
