Why we made this
Light and versatile, the Traverse Pertex® Rain Jacket is waterproof, windproof and breathable — ideal for light hiking trips.
  • Product Description
Light yet durable for its weight, the Traverse Pertex® Rain Jacket is a waterproof jacket designed for hiking light and fast. With lightweight Pertex® Shield Pro on the main body, hood and sleeves and a mid-weight version of the same fabric on the shoulders and lower cuffs, this jacket is body mapped for greater durability in areas of wear while carrying a pack. With an air-permeable microporous PU membrane, the three layer Pertex® Shield Pro fabric is waterproof, windproof and highly breathable during high intensity activity — which means you'll stay protected and comfortable in a range of different environments. Featuring water-resistant YKK® AquaGuard® zips, the Traverse allows you to zip the hood into the collar for a clean and compact aesthetic. Please note, the YKK® AquaGuard® zips are water resistant not waterproof.

best jacket ever
I wore this jacket hiking in the rain riding mountain bikes and skiing in the snow and it was exeptional in all areas, it packed down small and the hood works well and keeps heat in and cold out side and breathes well. it has heaps of pockets for all you stuff like phones and ski passes and the only thing i would change would be not get the yellow one.

Why make a waterproof jacket without waterproof zips - I bought this and have only just seen the note on the zips - how nice n-waterproof are they?
Pete H on Sep 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We have been travelling with these jackets for five weeks in conditions ranging from drizzle to rain. We have had no water ingress in that time or any other problems. They are lightweight provide some warmth (esp wind protection ). We are very happy with them. Note I cannot comment on performance in torrential rain at this stage.
I'm right on the edge between small and medium measurements, would you recommend sizing up or down?
