  • Product Description
    The legendary Halo down jacket — now with a hood. The hooded Halo is an excellent all-rounder, perfect for wearing while you're out exploring the city, travelling the world or camping in the wilderness. Filled with 600 loft Responsible Down Standard (RDS) duck down and featuring elasticated cuffs and an adjustable hood and hem, this jacket works to keep you warm by trapping heat against your body. The lightweight nylon outer fabric (and lining) is bluesign® approved and features a short-chain C6 water repellent finish to protect against moisture. A separate stuff sack is included for convenient storage when packing your bags for the next adventure. The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) is an independent, voluntary global standard in the ethical sourcing of down and feathers — the RDS ensures our down comes from humanely treated ducks and geese and helps to provide traceability in our supply chain. All our down is 100% RDS certified. Similarly, bluesign® certification confirms these specific fabrics have been manufactured with responsible use of resources and the lowest possible impact on people and the environment. Both the outer and lining fabrics are bluesign® certified in the Halo Hooded Down Jacket.

    Close zippers and fasteners
    Cold gentle machine wash separately using a non-detergent soap (use a specialised product like Nikwax® Down Wash Direct®)

    Dry flat in shade initially, then tumble dry — cool several times to separate the clumps of down and restore DWR/WR coating

Hi .. I m actually size 8 .. but sometimes size 6 fits well .. so want just want to know if they are true to size ???

BEST ANSWER: I am usually a size 6 and bought the size 6 in this and it fits nicely. It's nice and snug fitting with a couple layers underneath so I think it depends if your planning to have layers underneath go the size 8 but if not the size 6 would fit.
Hi, just received Halo jacket via post. Sleeves appear very flat with little down in them. Just wondering if jacket puffs out after a while? Thanks

It is defiantly a warm jacket. With it's total weight of 620 g (size 10) and its fill power of 600 loft HyperDRY™ - it is one of the warmest jackets we have. But if you are looking for the warmest - I would recommend the Macpac Ember HyperDRY™ Down Jacket - Women's - It has a weight of 800 g (size 10) and a fill power of 700 g RDS HyperDRY™ Goose Down.

I was just wondering do the feathers come out of this jacket? Because I want to purchase a jacket that isn’t like other stores jackets where the feathers come out through the sewing thing?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Tiana. I have been wearing my Halo jacket pretty much non-stop for the last 2months, and I think I could honestly say I have not seen one feather coming out of the seams. It’s a great puffer, and I highly recommend getting one :) Donna

BEST ANSWER: No it's not. You need to wear a rain jacket over it to protect the down filling. Once it gets wet it loses its warming capacity.

If the 20 fits well for size, you could even consider the 2XL as these measurements are closer to the 20 (2XL chest is 72; hem is 66; &; size 20 chest is 65.5 & hem is 65.5), but will only be around 6 cm longer in the front and about 8 cm in the back.Thanks - the Macpac Team

Well, it depends on where you are going - it's a warm jacket and would work really well if you go to Scandinavia or the UK - but for Spain it might be a little warm (as you can experience up to 16-20 degrees in Spain around Feb)
