Why we made this
A bombproof four-season, three-person expedition tent designed to support adventurers in alpine conditions with high winds heavy snow loads.
  • Product Description
The Aspiring tent is built around a geodesic structure. Five poles and nine pole intersections distribute the forces of nature through the structure, giving the tent stability in high winds and strength under heavy snow loads. The fly is constructed with UV30™ PU, our premium fly material designed for continued strength under prolonged UV exposure. The floor is built with our legendary Torrentwear™ XP tub design for maximum waterproofness and durability. Wind and snow often make life in the mountains hard work. That's why we added two roomy vestibules, equipped with storm flaps, giving sheltered entry, cooking and gear storage. We’ve created a unique vent system that encourages airflow, managing condensation without compromising insulation. A larger version of the two-person Plateau tent, the Aspiring is designed to support three people in alpine or polar conditions, through all four seasons.
  • Design features
Five-pole geodesic design for maximum strength, stability and livable space

    Do not machine wash
Rinse well and dry in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight
After washing, we recommend that you reproof the fly with Nikwax® Tent & Gear SolarProof®
UV damage — do not leave tent pitched in direct sunlight for longer than necessary
Hot surfaces — do not pitch tent on hot surfaces as can cause blistering of fabric
Repairs — fabric patches and a pole repair sleeve are included for temporary repair

Superb all-conditions hiking/expedition tent
Favorite tent by far. Exceptionally stable in high winds, easy to put up in adverse weather, packs small for its performance. Double entry is a major bonus: enough space to store gear, keep it safe and out of the way. Medium footprint in challenging terrain, very comfortable for two adults and gear for long-term hiking/expedition. Inner tent works fine by itself in hot climate, stays stable, easy to pin down. Robust, high-quality material all around. Performed very well at -25 Monument Valley winter and +30 Japan summer. Advice: small tarp/bottom tent protector advisable if pitching on adverse, rocky terrain. Tent is 7 years old, still going strong despite long exposure to elements.
