Product Description
The Alpine Series Pisa is packable, breathable, and warm for its weight.Polartec® Alpha® Direct fleece is moisture-wicking when you're moving and warm when you're not. It's quick-drying, breathable, and packable. It also contains 78% recycled content, and it's the same fabric we use for our minimal Nitro Pullover.A ripstop nylon outer increases wind resistance, and its DWR finish improves moisture repellency. Our Alpine Series is the direct result of our partnership with the New Zealand Alpine Team (NZAT). This team of elite mountaineers demand premium lightweight equipment that doesn't compromise performance. The main and lining fabrics are bluesign® approved, which means they were manufactured with the responsible use of resources. We are transitioning the finish on this style to be PFC-free. You can identify if your garment has a PFC-free finish by the swing tag on the garment. To learn more about how to care for your PFC-free wet weather gear check out our blog post. -

Functional and comfortable
I read so many good reviews, and had to try it out for myself to see. I bought it in black with the 40% off on selected fleece tops sale. To my surprise, this is a really comfortable, easy everyday jacket the moment I tried it on. It's so versatile and warm. I am in love with this jacket and would totally recommend others. Maybe get it on a discount though. It's quite pricy. Size wise, it fits like my uber light down from Macpac. I usually wear a small in all Macpac products. I'm 173cm tall and 74kg, average build. I'd say the size and fit is consistent with other Macpac products like the uber light down, the TUI pullover, Craigieburn merino blend jacket.

Outstanding Jacket
An amazing piece of gear - completely cuts out the wind out and kept me warm down to 3C with just a thermal underneath. What really suprised me was washing it today. The outer fabric is very waterproof to the extent that i could make a ball of water inside the jacket while trying to squeeze water out - it also dried to a wearable state in about 20 minutes.
It weighs very little and provides the function of a thick puffer jacket and rain jacket combined. Feels durable and it's by far my favourite jacket. It's pricey yes but you get what you pay for - I have no regrets buying this even when it wasn't on sale, but if you see it on sale definitely pick it up.
I find it fits a little bit snug but not significantly - but I like my jackets looser - I'm a size L in the Halo Down and a size XL in this. Not a massive difference but worth trying out in store if possible.
I am going to bring this onto the Te Araroa next year. It is the best, most versatile jacket available in the hiking world today and you will not be disappointed.

Great jacket at an absurdly high price.

Warmth for weight
This is a great product. Warm and fairly breathable, lighter than expected. Will get a lot of use over the colder months

Great jacket
Great jacket but probably not worth paying that much. It's a bit pricey.
I took one star off only because of the price.

Unfortunately i returnd this item to Macpac. The L was too big over the shoulders while the M was too fitted. Couldnt find the right cut for my size. I have no problems with other Macpac hooded jackets / fleece pull over but this one was a struggle to find the right balance

Versatile jacket.
Great jacket, good fit without being too large or too tight. Nice and warm with a single layer underneath in autumn temperatures and packs away to a modest bundle. I like the warmth to weight ratio without the bulk and it looks just as good on the street as it does in the hills. Just be careful around sharp objects as I feel the outer fabric could snag and tear easily.

Macpac Pisa Jacket
Love the jacket, but seems a touch small
I generally buy "L" for all clothing, but in my view this large jacket is more like a medium
