Why we made this
A proven alpine expedition tent, the Aspiring supports three people across all four seasons.
Refined over countless expeditions, the three person Aspiring Alpine Tent is the ultimate basecamp shelter. Built around a geodesic structure, with five DAC Featherlite NSL poles, this alpine tent is designed to provide maximum liveable space, while remaining stable in high winds and under heavy snow loading. The fly is constructed with UV30™ PU, our premium, factory seam sealed fly material that gives continued strength under prolonged UV exposure. The floor is built with our legendary Torrentwear™ XP tub design, providing a waterproof and durable base for your camp. With two vestibules equipped with snow flaps, there's plenty of room for sheltered entry, cooking and gear storage. In addition, because we know adequate ventilation is crucial with prolonged use, we've created a unique air vent system that encourages airflow through the tent and manages condensation without compromising insulation. The Aspiring Alpine Tent is designed to support three people in alpine or polar conditions, through all four seasons.

After washing, we recommend that you reproof the fly with Nikwax® Tent & Gear SolarProof®
UV damage — do not leave tent pitched in direct sunlight for longer than necessary

Superb all-conditions hiking/expedition tent
Favorite tent by far. Exceptionally stable in high winds, easy to put up in adverse weather, packs small for its performance. Double entry is a major bonus: enough space to store gear, keep it safe and out of the way. Medium footprint in challenging terrain, very comfortable for two adults and gear for long-term hiking/expedition. Inner tent works fine by itself in hot climate, stays stable, easy to pin down. Robust, high-quality material all around. Performed very well at -25 Monument Valley winter and +30 Japan summer. Advice: small tarp/bottom tent protector advisable if pitching on adverse, rocky terrain. Tent is 7 years old, still going strong despite long exposure to elements.
