What's our warranty?

Macpac gear is tested in New Zealand's rugged outdoors and designed to last the distance. We trust the durability and quality of our gear completely.

If your Macpac product is damaged or incorrect when you receive it, or it is faulty or doesn’t meet its description (including after you receive it), we will happily exchange, refund or repair the product with proof of purchase in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure goods.

We may need to assess your product to determine whether a repair, replacement or refund is appropriate. In some cases, we may need to send your product to the manufacturer or their repair agent to be assessed.
Where practicable, please ensure your product is clean before it is returned to us to be assessed.



What's not covered?

Our warranty does not cover:

• normal wear and tear

• the natural breakdown beyond the reasonable life of the materials and components

• products which have been modified or altered

• damage caused by improper use

• product that has not been properly maintained or stored

• accidental damage

• damage as a result of use of the product for which it was not designed

If your product has been accidently damaged in circumstances not covered by our warranty, we may still be able to repair it for you. See the accidental damage and repair section below.



How do I return damaged, faulty or incorrect products under warranty?

We aim to sort out any issues with faulty, damaged or incorrect products straight away.
If you discover a fault or have received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance with the following information:
1. The order number (example AU00123456)

2. The item's product code (example 112971-BLK00-10)

3. Provide a photo of the product and description of the issue.

4. Provide your complete contact details: Name, Phone Number and Address.

Alternatively, you can take the product to your local Macpac store.

For safety reasons, if you want to return any bulky products (whether in-store or by post), please contact your nearest Macpac store or our Customer Care team before returning the product.

Accidental damage and repairs

If your favourite Macpac item accidentally gets damaged during one of your adventures, you can still contact our Customer Care team or take your item in-store

We are happy to have a look at it and, if at all possible, our Repairs team will fix it for a reasonable fee. We believe that sustainability begins with quality gear that lasts - there's nothing we like more than to help you get out there again with your existing gear, and to help you to keep it going for years to come.
