Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray On
  • Product Description
Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray On is easy and quick to apply, and its highly Durable Water Repellency (DWR) develops on air drying. The need for tumble drying is removed, this saves energy and protects more vulnerable, older, garments from heat. Nikwax TX.Direct Spray has been specifically designed and optimised for breathable waterproof garments; it leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual fibres allowing moisture vapour to pass through, maintaining breathability.
  • Design features
Adds or renews water repellency and revives breathability
Prolongs the life of gear and optimises outdoor performance
Easy spray-on application method for clothing with wicking liners
    No heat activation required
    Water-based, fluorocarbon-free & environmentally responsible
Will proof up to 4 garments

Ive washed my motorcycle suit with TECH wash and let it dry. TX Direct Spray calls for the garment to be wet. Does it have to be saturated or can I use water spray?
MartinJ on Jul 5, 2021
BEST ANSWER: It needs to be quite wet. If using the water make sure it is well wet. I usually wash and let dry and then wet through and use a quarter to half of the spin cycle which leaves it wet but not saturated. Keep a rag handy to spread any pooling of the spray if spraying while it is lying. For something that is not very waterproof I will give it a second light spray before it completely dries eg over the shoulders. I hope this assists - I find this is what works for us.
Can the waterproof spray be used on the down/feather puffer coats?
Kathryn C on Jul 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Kathryn, It is recommended to use Nikwax Down Proof to protect feather and down fillings against loss of insulation caused by water. Thanks the Macpac Team
