Product Description

The Te Araroa is for minimalists who want a hiking backpack that will go the distance. It combines the streamlined shape of the Hesper with classic Macpac utility. It's made using the latest addition to our AzTec® family of fabrics.

AzTec® LW is a 6 oz canvas made from polyester and certified organic cotton. It's lightweight and durable, and it features a ripstop to provide high tear strength.

True to the AzTec® name, it's wax-coated for rugged durability and a lifetime of backcountry adventure.

A compressible roll-top lid lets you grow or shrink the single compartment to the length of your trip. The front stash pocket is perfect for keeping your jacket in, and the side pockets are designed so that you can reach your bottle without having to take the pack off.

If you use a hydration bladder, you can keep it inside and thread the hose through a port at the top of the harness. The way the shoulder strap is designed means that you can keep the mouthpiece close without it flapping as you walk.

This backpack is supported by our lightest harness — the HeliumAir™. It balances a minimal design with maximum carry capacity, and its hip belts are interchangeable so that you can create a perfect fit in-store.

The secondary and base fabrics are bluesign® approved, which means they were manufactured with the responsible use of resources.

If you're not completely satisfied, you are welcome to exchange your purchase* with the original receipt for a full refund, store credit, or an alternative product, within 60 days. The returned product must be unused, and in the original packaging with all tags still intact. Footwear should be tested indoors and returned in original packaging. Shoe boxes must be free of tape, writing, and stickers; use a postage bag for added protection.
